My Weekly Favorite List...

This week I think it is fair to say that we are all quite distracted by the Corovirus outbreak. In light of that I simply wanted to share my 4 favorite tips that I think you can put to good use!

1.)  First and foremost is that while we are all practicing social distancing, don't forget about your local small businesses. If you have a favorite restaurant, consider ordering takeout! Shop online at your favorite local spots and if you do decide to continue with normal outings, consider off times to help eliminate crowds.

2.)  If you are shopping for homes, certainly consider a drive by visit as the first step and consider having your agent do a Facetime visit for a private viewing from your home. Due to business closures, give everyone involved with the home buying/selling process additional time. Ensure that your agent is staying in contact with those that will be important in your real estate process such as lenders, attorneys, and professional providers such as surveyors and home inspectors; which could impact important deadlines throughout your process.

3.)  Even small gestures matter. If you are selling a home, consider placing a bottle of hand sanitizer outside your home or just inside the entrance way. You may want to offer slip on booties or request the removal of shoes. These small steps really do help with the spread of germs and the possibility of infecting those who are immune compromised. Instead of traditional techniques, consider a Facebook live event for an open house. It's basically time to think outside of the box so that your home selling process doesn't suffer. A good agent is resourceful, so get together and get a new game plan.

4.)  Many out of town buyers will be cautious about travel so consider all of the ways that you can show your home in the best light without an in person visit. I always say that professional photography/videography sells homes and that has never been more true than now.

Above all, take it one day at a time, and if you happen to have a few extra rolls of toilet paper (you know who you are) consider sharing with a neighbor! A good community comes together in times of crisis and I am proud to be a part of this tribe. Please let me know how I can be a resource to you during this difficult time!
